Session 16

Mr Z had came back from Barcelona, Mr Z had introduced the format of  ICT paper in SPM. In SPM, ICT had separated into 2 paper. Paper 1 has 3 part, section A, B and C. Section  A is objective question which contain 36 m, section B and C are subjective questions which B contain 20m and C contain 14m. ICT paper 2 is doing demonstration, verbal presentation , written assignment and project work.

During this session, Mr Z had went to Barcelona to participate the Global forum but before he went to Barcelona he had told us do presentation and he will watch through webcam. In this session, me and my partner, Tan Jun Bin had presented a  presentation about the computer attack.

Today, one of my classmates, Chong Heng Loong had created a cryptography and he introduced it to us in this session.  After that, Daryl had also taught us how to create a file protection  program.

Then create a folder and hide it.Type your password and press enter and the file that you hided will pop up.

Session 12

During this session, Mr Z had ask us what is blog. Blog is a personal website or web page on which an individual records opinions, link to other site, on a regular basics. After that, Mr Z had told us our due date for update our blog were on 4 March 2014. Mr Z had sign our LO and we have to put it inside our document.

During this session Mr Z had told us about malicious code. The Malicious code have different type of malicious software,

The method to solve the malware are install anti-virus and anti-spyware software on your computer and open the firewall all the times.After that Mr Z told us to go back search for what is CASPER and firewall, a presentation about impact on society and we need to choose one topic related to LA1, make it into a powerpoint form which have 3 slide and present it to the student of collaboration project.

During this session , Mr Z taught us about computer security.  We can protect our computer by set password on it to avoid other people to log in to your computer to get your information.other than that, you install anti virus software on your computer to stop virus from harassing your computer. Mr z also taught us about malicious software. Virus is one kind of malicious code. Trojan horse is act as a distributor.. Key logger will record every key you press , the key logger are in the form of software or hardware.  Mr Z said we will go back home  search the difference between hacker  and cracker and the definition of malicious software. Moreover, the method to  prevent the data loss when natural disaster  are  store in cloud storage , save in a hard disk or a external hard disk and data backup.  Then , Mr Z said we have to do some project. We need to do a virus and spyware scanning if your computer got problem write down what will you do  and cryptography.

SESSION 9

During this session, Mr Z had taught us about computer ethics and legal issue.  He had told us the definition of ethics, intellectual property and privacy. The definition of ethics is a moral philosophy where a person makes a specific moral choice and stick to it.Code of ethics in computing means moral guidelines to refer to when using the computer and the Internet.The definition of intellectual property (IP) is refers to any product of human intellect that is unique and has value in the market place.Privacy  data and information privacy. The meaning of data is collection of raw unprocessed facts figure and symbols. The meaning of information is the rights of individuals and companies. After that, the bell ring and he say we will continue next week.

When I was thinking what will Mr Z teach today. He told us one person take one headset. Then, he call us to surf the Blackboard Collaboration to download some application. After that, he told us we will meet our collaboration project partner , the student from Australlia and we have to take turn to introduce ourselves. I started to feel nervous because I worried my poor english whether can communicate with them or not. When I reached my turn introduce myself, The teacher from Australlia said:Let start using the Blackboard Collaborate software so I had escape from the introduction this time. We have a good time when we using the software to ask and communicate with each others.

Mr Z had taught us about overview of information and communication techonology. He had taught us about definition of ICT. The definition of ICT is a generic name used to describe a range of technologies for gathering, storing, retrieving, processing, analysing, and transmitting information. Other than that, he also teach us about the enolution of computer, personal computer and counting machine.

Moreover, Mr Z had also told us computer had 5 generation. http://www.webopedia.com/DidYouKnow/Hardware_Software/FiveGenerations.asp. After that, he had told us to go home to find for what is the differences between notebook , netbook and ultrabook. The differences between notebook , netbook and ultrabook arenotebook is an alternate term for laptop. Netbook is cheaper, useful for documentary and portability but no gaming intensive program such as photoshop. Ultrabook are lighter , thinner great battery life and most of them had equipped with SSD ( Solid State Driver) hard disk but more expensive and do not have a DVD drive.

Today is my sixth session for my ICT class. The lab has been arranged orderly and the computer had fixed properly after some of the classmates had arranged and fixed it. Mr Z had told us he will give the Skype ID of ICTclass soon but not now because he had forgot the password the account ,he had promised us to get back password soon. Mr Z told us to open the computer. Mr Z to explore the computer. Mr Z aldo told us to insert video clip inside the Powerpoint slide, but I could not found video clip inside the computer so I did not insert the video clip.  Other than that, he also told us to open our FROG VLE  but many of us have forgot our ID and password for the FROG VLE. Therefore, he had opened the list that has listed down our password and ID for us to check and write down. After all of us were login into our FROG VLE, he said the FROG VLE will become one of the platform for us to learning.

Today, our computer lab have finally been arranged orderly. However, Mr Z said some of  the computers are still do not format, he have to wait for Encik Abu, our computer technician to format it. Mr Z  said the computers that we have cleaned and fixed last session will be our computer this year, we have to keep those computers function whole year. Mr Z said this was a frustrating works because those computers have to share with whole school's student, maybe someone will do something on the computers and we have to maintain it and keep its function whole year.Because of this, I had two new 'anak angkat'. After that, Mr Z told us to take the  folders that put inside the cupboard and inside also have some slip of paper that had written our name on it,some slip of paper are green and some are in yellow. We have to take one green and one yellow slip of paper which written our name and stick in on the side of the folders and put its back to the cupboard after stick its. The folder stick with  green colour slip of paper is use to put SPM things and the folder stick with yellow colour slip of paper is use to put our LO and LP. After this, Mr Z had told us to separate into 4 group and 1 group at least need to have one girl, we have 13 boys and 7 girls in our class. First, we have to choose the group leaders, teacher ask who want volunteer to become a  group leader, we have three boys and one girls becoma the group leader. The group members were choose by the group leader him or herself. I was been chosen into group 1, my group leader is Tan Chi Yong and my members are Chong Heng Loong and Wong Chin Hin.

SESSION 4 

When I enter computer lab today, I found out the computers still were not arranged orderly and fix properly. Mr Z said that we were the one who will fix the computer under the supervise of Mr Z and our school's computer technician ,Encik Abu. Before we start to fix the computer，Mr Z had told me what is the differences of AVR cable and UPS cable. The function of AVR cable(Automatic Voltage Regulator)is to regulating the voltage. In addition, the function of UPS (Uninterpretable Power Supply)is  used to be a backup power and it will be helpful when happen  blackout. Other than that,  Mr Z also told us about the learning plans and learning outcome. He will give us the format of learning plans and learning outcomes, we just have to download from Facebook. After Encik Abu had reached the computer lab, we start to fix the computer. One person have to fix 2 computers.When I fixing the computer I had faced some problem because I did not know what is the function of some cable or the right place to fix the cable in it but my classmate are wiling to help me to solve the problem. He had told me what the cable for and when to fix the cable. We get the work done quickly because our cooperation. We have given two paper which had number on it, Mr Z told us to write the computers problem which them fixed , if no problem just write no problem on it. I felt thankful for who had helped me.

   When I enter the computer lab this week, I felt surprised when I found out the computer lab was in a mess. After that, Mr Z told us the difference between skydriv and Google drive and the reason why the computer lap are in a mess.He held Spring Cleaning in 13/1/14 but the cleaning were still in progress. Therefore. Mr Z had separated us in a few group for doing cleaning. We have using a old cloth to wipe the dust off the computer. Before we start to cleaning Mr Z had told us to create a blogs which was a ICT journal and update it after every session. he will check it but not every times.

SESSION 2

    This is my second session in this ICT class. Mr Z told us to introduce yourself with a post in facebook ICT group and every member of the group need to comment everyone's post. Other than thar, Mr Z said be helpful, if your friend are facing some problem  give them some help. You can also share information about LA (learning area) under LA post. He also told us before post something in the group, you need to write your name first. before our session ended, he told us play around in blogspot, create a skydrive account and remember LA if you want to enter this class next week!

Session 1

Today is my fist class for attending my ICT class. Before I had chose ICT ，I felt shilly shally to make a decision, either to take Bio or ICT. Finally I had chose ICT. In this session , my ICT teacher , Mr. Zainuddin Zakaria (Mr.Z) welcome us to this big family.Mr Z had told the do and don't and he had introduced what is ICT and  the importance of ICT. He had gave us a task, sent our personal info into his email box.Moreover, he had told us to enter the Facebook group ICT class SPM so we can communicate easily.
